Often we are thought to only deal with wood products but with our diverse equipment and fabrication abilities we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with plastics as well. Panel Processing has worked with many different types and thicknesses of plastics. Some of the common substrates that we have worked with have been made into P.O.P. components, pegboard, sample boards, signs and more.
PVC and Polyvinyl Foam Board – lightweight rigid and durable. Excellent dent and scratch resistance. Great for P.O.P. displays, signage and kiosks.
HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) – often used to make pegboard
Styrene – high impact and great for signs, displays and more
ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) – a very tough impact resistant material. It is known for its hardness, gloss and durability for multiple uses.
Acrylic – a transparent thermoplastic often used in sheet form as a lightweight or shatter-resistant alternative to glass. Ideal for barriers, shields and guards.
Acetal – at is a lightweight, low-friction and wear-resistant material with good physical and processing properties. It is used for close tolerance mechanical parts.
Polycarbonate – is a clear plastic used to make another shatter-resistant alternative to glass. Ideal for barriers, shields and guards, as well as parts.
UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) – is a durable, low friction, and chemical resistance material. Used for wear strips, chain guides and marine dock fender pads.
